Privacy Policy

Effective August 2, 2026

Unicornle (“we,” “us”) is a small, single-player fact-checking game. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we don’t do with it. There is no login and no account — the game works entirely in your browser.

Game progress — stored on your device only

Your score, streak, and answer history are saved using your browser’s local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers or any third party. If you clear your browser data, switch devices, or use a private window, that history is gone — we have no copy of it to restore.

Hosting — Vercel

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard connection data (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) to serve pages and keep the site secure and fast. We don’t access this data for anything beyond normal operation and troubleshooting. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.

Analytics — Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited and how often — so we can improve the game. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as your approximate location, device type, and pages viewed. We do not use this data to identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or a browser/extension that blocks tracking scripts.

Newsletter — email you choose to give us

If you subscribe to the daily or weekly email digest, we collect only your email address. It is used solely to send you the digest you signed up for — we don’t sell, rent, or share it with third parties, and we don’t use it for any other kind of marketing. Digest emails are sent via Resend, our email delivery provider, from digest@updates.unicornle.com. Every email includes an unsubscribe link — clicking it removes you immediately. You can also email us at contact@unicornle.com to be removed.

Cookies

The only cookies set on this site come from Google Analytics (see above) and Vercel’s own infrastructure. We don’t use cookies for advertising, and we don’t run any third-party ad trackers.

Children

Unicornle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update.
